Namako Blue Youhenkon Dinnerware Collection is lightweight, durable and made from high glass-content porcelain clay. The namako glaze creates flowing, dynamic patterns, adding an artistic touch to your table. Youhenkon is a distinct glaze technique applied to traditional Japanese mino-yaki (mino-ware) porcelain. Youhen is a firing method that uses glaze to artificially express individual differences depending on fire, temperature and glaze composition inside kiln. Color changes will occur inside kiln when vessels are fired at very high temperatures (800°C to 1000°C). Kon means dark blue. The glaze color may vary between production batches or individual items due to its delicate nature. Slight color differences from other items may occur due to the unique characteristics of the glaze. Minor color variations, pattern irregularities, slight wobbling, or small scratches may occur but do not affect quality standards. Its smooth surface ensures long-lasting cleanliness and a refined appearance. Ceramic. Microwave and dishwasher safe. Made in Japan.
