The Self-Watering Herb Pot is designed by Claus Jensen and Henrik Holbæk of Tools® for Eva Solo, a Danish-owned design company which develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of high-quality products for the home and kitchen. The system behind the self-watering pot is both simple and functional. Once the watering system has been established, the plant will look after itself most of the time. A nylon wick in the base of the upper pot which draws water up from a reservoir in the bottom pot. The plant thus gets the necessary nutrients by drawing up the amount of water it needs itself. All you have to do is to remember to look at the pot every now and then and refill the water reservoir as required. And it only takes a moment to see whether the reservoir needs water. This way, plants have optimum growing conditions, which is good for the plant – and for you! (Please note: plants shown for illustration purposes and not included.)
