David Mellor's now classic Pride cutlery was designed in 1953 when Mellor was still a student at the Royal College of Art, London. and has been in continuous production ever since. The simple elegance of Pride encapsulates the modern ethos if the Festival of Britain on the South Bank. Included in the first Design Centre Awards in 1957, Pride is on display in numerous museums worldwide as a prime example of 20th-century modernist design.

Available in hand polished stainless steel and in silver plate. Pride's knives are offered in either all stainless steel, black or ivory acetal resin handles with metal blades. Knife blades are made from high carbon stainless steel for a superior cutting edge.

David Mellor Cutlery Canteens are handmade in black stained oak or walnut with chrome plated hinges and discreetly marked with the David Mellor logo. Each canteen has a specially shaped insert to hold specific designs of David Mellor cutlery. Canteen box can hold six, eight or 12 place settings. Knife tray required for eight or 12 place settings.
