Description
BUKA — Let`s the candle float.
BUKA, the candleholder presents itself plain and elegant at the same time.
Through affixing the candle sideways various kinds of candles become an eye-catcher. Viewing from a certain angle the candle will appear as if it was floating.
Simple, elegant, and mysterious, the Buka Candlestick uses two pins to suspend a candle above a metal dish – giving it the appearance that it’s levitating. Minimal, yet visually effortless, this candleholder is exactly what you need to get through those long winter nights right around the corner. Please note: candle not included.
Diiis
The Diiis Designstudio was founded in Basel, Switzerland by Susanne Roser (right) and Martina Staub (left) in 2015. The duo develops, visualizes and realizes product ideas from design research to marketable products. During the design process they particularly target the balance between functionality, simplicity and aesthetics. Thereby the objects speak for themselves, have a clear design vocabulary and display a passion for details. In the end the products are to become a personal, favorite item thanks to their independence and well-chosen materials.
We develop, visualize and realize product ideas from design research to marketable products. During the design process we particularly target the balance between functionality, simplicity and aesthetics. Thereby the objects speak for themselves, have a clear design vocabulary and display a passion for details. Up to now we successfully could design and realize furniture and home accessory for external clients as well as for in-house projects.
Souda
Since launching its debut collection in 2013, Souda has been making a name for itself as a ineffable force in the contemporary design world, by steadily introducing new products designed by a growing, global cohort of cutting-edge designers. Housed in a Brooklyn studio that was formerly a nightclub, the location is fitting for a brand ready to shake things up with designs that fluently combine sophistication and play.
In Japanese the word ‘Souda’ roughly translates to mean “oh yeah!” And according to Dwell Magazine “True to its name, Souda seems founded on the finger-snapping moments that accompany great ideas.”
Galvanized by the need for high-quality design that doesn’t include a high-dollar price tag, Souda creates modern furniture, lighting, and accessories engineered to be cherished and loved for years to come. The versatility, originality and timelessness in every piece contributes to products that allow each design to seamlessly adapt to its environment, whilst shaping the way that we live and work.
Beauty is found in the details, which is why Souda’s production and manufacturing process, tailored to each design, harmoniously combine the diligence of craft with the finesse of industry to ensure the highest-quality object arrives at your doorstep. We love every single piece we create, and we hope you will too.
